Sir Mildmay Fane (1602-1665) was 2nd Earl of Westmorland, first surviving son of Sir Francis Fane (1580-1628) and Mary Mildmay (1581-1640), and uncle of Frances Fane who married John Giffard (1639-1712), from whom Mary Emma Sercombe (1859-1922) is directly descended.
