George Giffard of Tiverton Castle in Devon
Will dated 8 April 1622, proved 26 June 1624
In the name of god Amen: I George Giffard of Tiverton in the Countye of Devon Esqr doe make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge Ffirst I comend my Soule unto Almightie god of whom I received the same and my bodie I leave to Christian buriall [and] to be interred in such decent manner as my good ffriends shall dispose in their behalf Alsoe my goodes Cattells and Chattells whatsoever I give and leave to the disposition of Joane my wife whome I doe make my whole and sole executrix of this my last will and testament And in witness hereof I have hereunto subscribed my name the eighth day of Aprill 1622 George Giffard / Sealed and delivered in the pr[esen]ce of us William Sharpe, Jo: Baker, John Hartnoll. /
