Magnificently commemorated by a monument in Exeter Cathedral of which this detail is part, Dorothy Bampfylde (d. 1614, wife of John Dodderidge) was great-aunt to Susan Bampfylde (d.1670) who was the first wife of John Giffard (1639-1712).
