GIFFARD CHAPEL, ST HIERITHA'S CHURCH
CHITTLEHAMPTON, DEVON
Set into the wall beside the large Giffard monument in the church of St Hieritha is a stone inscribed in memory of a servant to John Giffard (possibly the John Giffard who died 1712?). Neither the name of the servant nor the date of his death remain.
The stone bears the following inscription:
